The Holidays Stated In Annexure-i Would Be Observed As “Gazetted Holidays” In The State Of Himachal Pradesh During The Calendar Year 2023, As Per The Governor Of Himachal Pradesh’s Approved Order.
- All Government Employees Will Be Permitted To Take Two “Restricted Holidays” From The List Of Holidays In Annexure-iii In Addition To The Holidays Listed In Annexure-1.
- The Additional “Gazetted Holidays” Stated In Annexure-ii Are Only For Women Employees Working In All Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, And Educational Institutions In Himachal Pradesh. In Accordance With Section 25 Of The Negotiable Instruments Act Of 1881, These Will Also Be Holidays For Women Employed As Daily Wage Workers.
- I In Conjunction With The Celebration Of Significant Fairs And Festivals In The Corresponding District/ Area During The Year 2023, The Deputy Commissioners In The State Are Permitted To Declare Two Local Holidays Within Their Jurisdiction.
(Ii) For The Offices Located Within The Shimla Municipal Limits, Two Local Holidays Will, However, Be Declared By The State Government Following Receipt Of A Proposal In This Regard From The Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, And For The Remaining Areas Of District Shimla, Two Local Holidays Will Be Declared/decided By The Deputy Commissioner, Shimla In Accordance With Past Practise. After Receiving A Recommendation From The Pr. Resident Commissioner, H.p., New Delhi, The State Government Would Declare Two Local Holidays For The H.p. Government Offices Located In Delhi.
- In Accordance With Section 25 Of The Negotiable Instruments Act Of 1881, The Holidays Stated In Annexure-iv Are Also Proclaimed To Be “Gazetted Holidays.”
For The Calendar Year 2023, Additional Holidays Have Been Formally Announced For Women Working In All H.p. Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, And Educational Institutions. These Days Will Also Be Holidays For Women Workers Covered By Section 25 Of The Negotiable Instruments Act Of 1881 As Well As For Those Earning A Daily Salary.
